I just beat the steel type Canalave city gym leader Byron, Torterra defeated his Magnetmite in one hit, Floatzel defeated his Steelix in one hit and Lucario defeated his Bastiodon in one hit, I wasn't expecting to beat Byron easily, he didn't get a chance to attack, all of my pokemon where level 39 when the battle began.

Why is he so weak? His son was tougher than him, I always remembered him being one of the more tougher gym leaders.
