Pokemon concepts/designs that were failed by shit stats/move pools

Pic related. Ladian is a great design that straddles cute and cool with a sentai inspiration. Then they give a trash move pool and worse stats forever making it awful.

I can deal with the shit stats for the ok movepool+utility spread for a bug in gen 2, but the biggest thing that kills it for me is the lvl18 evo. Same thing as spinarak, really makes no sense to using a bug that late especially when beedrill/butterfree re LVL 10 and by LVL 20 their getting replaced for a permanent party member
