also raging bolt is based on funny hieroglyphics and that alone makes it pretty cool by default, and a nature spirit taking a different form in the past than the one it takes in the present is also perfectly reasonable so it's not like you can be mad it doesn't make sense or something. walking wake is way cooler but raging bolt is harmless and fine, on top of being a pretty funny and inspired design.
duraludon is a quintessential kaijublob design, fits right in with the aesthetics of the first three gens in particular, plus archaludon is cool as fuck and wouldn't exist without it.
i also think chewtle and blipbug are ugly though. calyrex is just unremarkable.
