>>54757912It would be an interesting subplot where people try to teach speech to Pokemon, what with them very clearly having vocal chords capable of speech similar to humans. Well, many of them at least. Psychic and Ghost types make sense to talk, and the more humanoid Pokemon regardless of type should be capable of at least some dialogue, crude as it may be. Imagine an Arcanine barking out "above!" when warning you of danger such as falling debris you otherwise would've been smashed by, only for it to go back to barking constantly like a big dog. In very limited capacity, talking Pokemon won't be too out of place. A professor that wants to learn how to better communicate between human and Pokemon would be a great way to introduce such a concept.
Though, innovation is always looked down upon, especially in Pokemon where innovation tends to be lackluster most of the time.
