Your list is oddly similar to mine, except for a swap between PLA and B2W2, and the last one would have to be Scarlet. Alola had its charm, but I will never replay any of its games due to Melemele and uninteresting text. Emerald and Platinum are hindered by their smaller Pokemon pools and music.

I have very fond memories of Yellow, but I don't consider it fun to replay. LGPE scratch that itch despite losing Blue as a rival and the darker atmosphere. The world is crowded but lively.

XD might replace Scarlet, but it needs to be re-released first.

I've been pretty unimpressed with the last several gens, though SM was a bit of a bright spot, so I'm surprised at how much I've been enjoying SV. I can't imagine it being as fun outside of a nuzlocke, but I've been running each one like that since gen 4, so I don't think younger me playing normally would disagree with the placement.

Glad people aren't sleeping on gen 9. Haven't a fucking clue why so many like LGPE though.

For me, the longer I play Gen 9 the more I dislike it. It's bizarre because I loved the gen at the start. Gen 9 does have some good things about it though, but me personally I don't ever see it rated high on my list of best pokemon games.

I know that's technically a Top 6, but I wanted to include LGPE because it's such a cool game imo.
