Zacian isn't even AG anymore, OP. She is A+ in ubers, right below PGrodon, Zygarde 100%, Miraidon and Ho-oh.
MRay is still AG together with MGengar, Miraidon and Calydrex

Miraidon is banned in Nat Dex Ubers. Koraidon still shows on the list, but it also just got banned. Nat Dex Ubers is also a poor representation compared to usual metagames because it barely has a playerbase and is generally only considered by a select few people. Actual Ubers has Koraidon and Miraidon as S with Zacian Crowned at the top of A+.

Regen is big for it, but it’s stat line is actually one of its strengths due to complementing it well. it high SpD lets it tank special hits but because Sacred Fire has such a high burn chance it’s protected from physical hits too. Being a Physical attacker works well due to already being protected from burns due to being Fire type. And even its 4x Stealth rock weakness doesn’t matter due to Regenerator. And all this is before heavy duty boots even existed.
Thers also the fact the because it’s stat spread is so different from most other legends it functions uniquely so it’s hard to it get powercrept.

This. It feels like Primal Groudon does fucking everything and you are putting yourself at a disadvantage by not using it. Mega Ray is a one trick pony, probably wouldn't even be banned if it didn't have flying CC.

Mega Ray, even with its competition, is still the strongest Pokemon in head to head comparison.
In a pretend metagame where you could use previous iterations of Pokemon like Gen 1 version of Mewtwo, Mega Ray would be the only Pokemon without a counter and barely checked.

Would be powerful but Bug moves are no longer shit and you have options like Steels and Dark types now. What made Mewtwo broken in Gen 1 was that Kanto Pokemon are usually shitmons anyways.

Gets walled by Quagsire and also would be walled by Skeledirge too. It also can be outspeed and revenge killed with scarfmons or revenge killed by Excadrill, unlike Mega Ray who has DD and anti-Weather Boost ability. It had Extreme Speed for Ditto. Only check was specifically Scarf Marshadow.

Similar story. Mega Ray is virtually impossible to revenge kill outside the incredibly specific Scarf Marshadow. It otherwise outspeeds everything else after a Dragon Dance

What pushed it over the edge was Z-moves and specifically ignoring stat drops on Draco Meteor, and this technically never exists.

Has the flaw in priority cucking it out of sweeping, something Mega Ray has no issue with.
