>>54781759Ghost-type specialists with Gengar
>With Agatha, it's very understandable since the Gastly line were the only Ghost-types in Gen 1, so she had to compensate by becoming a dual Ghost/Poison trainer.>Morty's situation is similar to Agatha's, but he could've (and should've) used a Misdreavus.>Fantina. DP Sinnoh Dex. Enough said. Her initial Platinum team was made even worse by having Duskull replace Drifblim instead of Gengar.>Shauntal only has one in her B2W2 rematch on Challenge Mode.>Allister has one for that fact that Gengar is the only Ghost-type Gigantamax.Ghost-type specialists without Gengar
>Pheobe luckily has no Gengar because there aren't any in the wild in Hoenn. Instead, she suffers from the Hoennian variant of limited Ghost-type options, but there were enough there to make it not as blatant. (She still could've swapped a Banette or Dusclops for Shedinja.)>Acerola has one in the anime, but this is discussing the games, where she doesn't.>Ryme, for now. Gen 9 added so many Ghost-types, she shouldn't have to resort to Gengar. Not many Poison-type specialists use the Gastly line, but there are some such as Plumeria.
5/8 (for Ghost, Poison is 1/7) is pretty bad, but arguably not as bad as the amount of Electric (4.5/7) and Steel (5/9) trainers who use the Magnemite line.
