It's easy when there's only 151 pokemon, few moves, and barely any gameplay.
Moves are the only content in that game, of course they have to put some love in them, otherwise it would be even worse of a scam.

Did you miss out on all the Switch Online casuals seething about only using rentals? The Stadium games really are that hard. Speedrunners only attempt to speedrun Stadium after a shitton of routing, and even then thousands of attempts die from poor RNG in every step of the run, especially E4.

This game was kino, pretty much all N64 Pokemon games had a lot of Soul.

The rental system was great if you were a kid and didn't have a lot of Pokemon in your GB games, the minigames were pretty fun and the battles were challenging.

The pokemania time period was by far the best time to be a fan.

No it doesn't, that's just how much speedrunners will waste on attempts at it in a day. The game is only 10 hours long.

Everyone that's ever cheated with emulator save states can tell you yes, the game does blatantly cheat right in your face. You switch out to a better mon? It uses a move it wouldn't normally do. It's especially apparent in Stadium 2 because all the dice rolls are predetermined, but the actual moves and switches they use on those turns are not.

The only thing the game "knows" is the damage roll on a move, if it will crit or not, or get secondary effects.
It has no "future" knowledge about accuracy, your attacks, or your switches

He was a veteran who knew how to loophole all sorts of species by relying on all four versions of Japanese Gen 1. Unfortunately the rest of the world had to wait until Gen 2 in order to do tradebacks for most of them.
