As speed is what causes crits in gen 1 parasect has such a low speed he's never gonna get a critical hit
You'd think that's bad except that Parasect main gimic is swords dance
And swords dance (and any boosted stats) are ignored when you get a crit
Meaning you can boost his attack with swords dance and unlike other mons you don't have to worry about a crit ruining your attack boosts
And he gets slash, dig (100 base power in gen 1), body slam, spore.. For being a slow and frail mon he does have some uses and is a lot of fun when used right
