was the new unova 150 meant to be a new "base" for pokemon? like how 2-4 supplement gen 1 and often use pokemon from gen 1 to "fill in the cracks" (zubats + geodudes in every cave, tentacool in water)
since it's on the other side of the world the common pokemon there would be completely different. so gen 1 pokemon aren't actually kanto mons but just generic "japanese" pokemon. and gen 5 pokemon aren't unova mons but generic "american" pokemon
example:
alola is unova mons + alola mons
instead of alolan forms for kanto mons they get alolans forms for unova mons. alola caves would be full of woobats and boldores with no zubats or geodudes to be seen.
unova mons would be "american" pokemon base while alola would be a sort of expansion.
europe continent would have its own base too. x/y having 150 and then galar + paldea would use those same european base pokemon
noibats + carbink in every euro region cave.
