Other places? It's pretty obvious when you look at it over a longer period of time. Low effort threads about new game/anime/products that magically disappear after a certain time. Ubisoft games get a consistent month of after-release shilling on /v/ for example. Barebones OP's are also an example.
I don't even think shills are that big of a problem. Defending a game's qualities isn't what ACTUAL shills do, because as
