I disliked Banette for a long time before I actually got to see the artwork.
The Shiftry sprite is relatively accurate but it just looks like shit.
The spiky look of its fur is gone, the eyes are weird and it's hard to tell where the pupil is and the black edges around them are gone.
Nosepass is another stinker, the colors are all wrong, the angular edges are all smoothed and its legs look like a mouth and a neck.
