Pokemon is a Japanese game made for an audience of Japanese 90's kids, us foreigners will never be able to truly GET the design choices and easter eggs targeted for a native audience, such as Stand By Me on television, the name of the Kanto region and the importance of Mt. Silver (aka Mount Fuji).
