it's really difficult to make an argument as to why yellow is a worse game, at least you tried while admitting that it's uglier. it's not just the monster sprites, there is also overworld graphic improvements as well as an updated color palette for GBC. I've seen people say it's worse several times over the last week which is what led me to believe that some kind of youtuber made a video or something, just like when people started randomly saying GSC/HGSS are bad games.
