Didn’t they just give it to you as well? I vaguely remember a free code for one in the BW2 box. Imagine if Oak just gave you Mewtwo at the beginning of Red and Blue lol.

it's kind of like how they fucked up making lucario 2 with zoroark, the limited availability ruined any legs they could have had
though even worse because at least you can catch zoroark in normal gameplay in gen 6 on

Why? The Pokémon they are based on are abundant, so genetically modified versions of those Pokémon would be abundant as well
If anything it's weird that there's only two Raidons when there's so many Cyclizar

BW team plasma has a very strong medieval aesthetic that's incompatible with a mon like genesect. it's not until the sequels that they go sci-fi.
