I actually try to have different types on all my pokemon, while simultaneously liking all of them.
I love having coverage for everything.
It's so good that we don't need hm slaves and a mon with fly anymore.

It's the most fun and immersive way to play when it's actually viable. I mean if you ever want to get a cushy gym leader or elite 4 gig you need to build a nice brand and variety trainers are oversaturated

I like monotypes. Sadly couldn't use Weavile in my dark monotype because its so late game in USUM. Sneasel is one of my favourites.

Me too. Too bad it's usually only available late in each game. If I remember right, it's at its worst in GS and HGSS, where it's only available in the very last area of the postgame. In Crystal, they improved it a little by making it available in Ice Path, but they removed that in HGSS for some dumb reason.

Yeah, its unfortunate. I like using Sneasel in Crystal. They really should have just kept Crystal encounter tables, they were a lot more interesting than base GS.
I feel like the line only appears at a reasonable place in the games is in Crystal and Gen 4, and in both of those its still relatively late.
