It doesn't matter if you look at the main anime series, spinoff anime series, the mainline games, spinoff games, manga, etc. It doesn't matter. There is not a single form of media in the entire franchise that makes a solid effort to stay consistent even within itself let alone within the entire franchise.
Because of this it is fucking absurd to pretend like anything is "more canon" than anything else. Everything is equally canon, it's all just canon to itself and even then there are a ton of inconsistencies within those self-contained canons.
