Now that the dust has settled, is the DLC worth it for a poorfag like me? Violet bored me and didn't hold my interest for more than a week or two, but I like a lot of the designs this generation and I'm craving Pokémon. I also found the story pretty cringe (but I liked Arven's parts).

I don't care about old Pokémon returning. I don't care about shinies. I don't care about (human) waifus. I only care about the campaign and maybe battle facilities.

Do they trainers at least have actual teams instead of 1-2 Pokémon?

Nah, nobody is even discussing it outside of the waifufags and shotacons. The gameplay is ass compared to SwSh DLCs.

the story can be experienced in 2ish hours and its not very good....but it is sold as a"package" like youre getting 2, so maybe combined its enough content.

i would not call it compelling though and its very disconnected at surface level from the main story

Trainers having actual teams? You'll breeze by it all if you go to Kitakami with level 100 mons obviously. I'd recommend the 55-65 range, but even then, aside from Carmine & Kieran's final fights & some NPC trainers in the mountains, most of it isn't that much of a challenge

Personally, I'd ask again once Indigo Disk is out

I know it's a tired phrase, but holding out hope for basic staples of the franchise "coming later" sounds like actual cope.
Simple additions that people enjoy and use that one would expect to return are being left behind with regularity.

Not trying to be a whiny asshole about it, but the idea that something you'd expect already exist could be locked behind such a massive paywall is insane.
Beyond that, it's merely a "hope" you'll get it a year+ after release.

Battle facilities themselves are secondary to the point.
I'm going to be honest, I'm terribly pleased with the co-op to the point where I'm not upset about not having a place that feels like a spot to "hang" during the post-game.
I was mostly commenting on the "We'll most likely get [THING] later" that I've heard time and time again.
Doesn't really matter much to me if it's a good thing or a niche/bad thing.
It would make the sentiment even sillier to hold out hope if they're as unpopular as you say they are, especially compared to other QOL stuff that's been cut or tweaked already.

What makes you think that we'll "most likely" get a battle facility or facilities in Indigo Disk? I mean I hope you're right, but I just doubt it.
