I only played it for the first time recently and I was really impressed with it. I don't get my opinions from people here though. I also enjoy the switch games very much for example. My question is, did you play through the whole thing? I think if you play an entire pokemon game while hating it, there is something wrong with you. For example I dropped SM after the first hour of cutscenes because I wasn't having fun. Were you maybe....having fun? Or do you just like being angry and look for every possible reason to be even after spending 20+ hours playing a game?

I've hated SWSH and have always thought I was an outlier.
I assumed it just wasn't for me and there was something I was missing.
I have never felt so justified by a graph.

I'm disappointed BW/B2W2 isn't higher, but I do remember the shitstorm over the sequel being 2 games and if I recall they kept older gens behind the story so you couldn't get them until post-game.
That second part could be a hallucination, but I'm too lazy to Google rn.

I personally think NDS is the beginning of the zoomer era since me and every millennial i knew was done with handheld and pokemon games by the time it csmd out but I'm still very fond of the NDS games having played them now as an adult.

I feel like most people came around to gen 5 by the end of the generation. When it comes right down to it, the only thing people didn’t like was the fully new dex. Being locked out of their Kantoooooo mons broke everyone’s brains, but now that people have had enough time to develop some favourite mons from the region, that huge barrier to gen 5 goodwill is largely eroded, and people see the games for what they truly are: the last generation of Pokémon games that weren’t released as minimum viable product.
