Platinum got the right idea of balancing its regional dex around type experts so they can all have as many mons as they need, and it still baffles me how this is seemingly the only pokemon game that did this. This is obviously the right way to do it.
But to be fair every single official E4 is bad because they don’t have full teams of 6. Even as a kid I found it stupid that they only had 5 mons each (4 in Unova lmao)
