Hence all the weirds shit about Gen 2 like Gen 2 Pokmon not showing up, most of the "cool" mons being late as fuck or in KANTOOOO, the starters being complete shitmons, and the god awful babies. However Game Freak realized that "Holy Shit people factually like these West-Kanto fuckers" so they started giving Gen 2 Pokemon some attention.
Ironically, when they TRIED to make a regional dex that would overthrow KANTOOOOOOO's in Gen 5 everyone hated them. nd too this day Unova's dex is probably the most hated.
