The battles are total robotic crap, the director seems to have never played a Pokemon game or watched the ashnime so the battles feel soulless. There's no "Primo Pokemon" autism if you know what I mean. The whole atnosphere of characters being obsessed about being Pokemon Trainers in a humourous way.

Gurumin turned out to be some lame tranny coded Donut Steel OC instead of being Iono as was speculated. Riko was fine as a solo MC but when she got overcrowded with ADULTS (like actual boring adult characters instead of funky teens like Brock and Cilan who the fuck watches Pokemon to watch adults being adult. And they don't even do seinen stuff since this is a kodomo show so their presence becomes even more meaningless, this is not a Eureka7 type of show where the directors can be more free in expression, this is Pokemon, a kodomo franchise. Really they wrote themselves into a corner from the start) then the story got boring since like.
Okay I'm invested in Riko's perspective but when 80% of the screentime goes to boring irrelevant fucks like Roy, Dot and the "adults" who have no business doing Pokemon Master Quest stuff then I inevitably end up asking lile who the Arceus is even the target audience????
