It was Ar-see-us at first, but they later changed it to Ar-kee-us so it wouldn't have "arse" in its name. I'm pretty sure the change was telegraphed in Sun/Moon with Silvally's ability being called RKS System before the pronunciation started showing up in other places. But that's why you hear it both ways: they were both the official pronunciation at different periods.

Arseus. The "Arkeus" shit is a forced attempt at a localization retcon that everyone ignores. It's pronounced Arseus in Japanese, in English Battle Revolution and on House, the only place you'd get exposed to "Arkeus" is by watching the fucking dub of the movies it appears in.

Unless you already knew Arceus is "supposed" to be pronounced in such an illogical way, I'm not sure you'd necessarily make the connection between "RKS" and "Arseus".
It's called the AR System in nip anyway, the localization renaming just feels like pathetic butthurt over nobody pronouncing Arceus the way they're trying to insist it's pronounced.

Nigga the point is that "RKS" doesn't connect to "Arseus" in any meaningful way, so unless you already know that they're trying to force the retcon that it's supposed to be pronounced "Arkeus" you probably won't connect the letters to the Pokemon.
