Games like Luigi's Mansion 2, SMT IV, SF4 3D, RE Mercenaries 3D, Mario & Luigi Dream Team, Resident Evil Revelations, Kid Icarus, Rhythm Thief, KH 3D, etc came out around the same time. As the system library expanded even more visually impressive games cropped up. At best you could argue a couple of the early heavy hitters handled the low res poorly, but in return they upscale beautifully.
