Your best best would probably be a sub-legend like the elemental birds or beasts since legendaries seem like the least likely to be entirely cut from remakes and future versions due to many things such as VGC and the typical legendary hunt that started in ORAS allowing you to capture every legend in the game, with very few exceptions.
