Why do you think they wanted to expand the land/sea? They needed to offer more habitats for fire and water types to be able to catch more of them.

I really hated how Team Aqua/Magma only relied on Poochyena/Zubats for the majority of their teams when others pokemons that would have fitted their teams thematically exists.

I assume that whats-his-face would have Garbodor if it was available since that's the Land Pollution pokemon?

either way, good lists! :D

only thing I'm stumped about is that maxie would probably not have a whiscash due to how goofy it is (and also being a ground type). I'd probably suggest a Relicanth or a Huntail.
