Genwunners are mostly normies. When I was 24, my friend took me along for a 'nerd quiz night' to exploit my autism and catch up. It was ran by some turbo normie guy he went to college with who owned the bar. Upon being told I know a lot about Pokémon, says "probably not more than me, haha. I guess we'll see how the quiz goes".
The other rounds weren't normie tier, so I didn't know what to expect from the Pokémon round. There were 5 questions, I've used X's for questions I can't remember specifically:
>Which gym leader uses X type?
>Which Pokémon are classified as the X Pokémon?
>How many Pokémon does Agatha use?
>How do you get Haunter to evolve?
Then, the last one
>How many Pokémon are there?
It was a couple of months after Sun and Moon came out, so I wrote "800, 802 including unreleased mythicals"
When it came to scoring, the 'quizmaster' looked at our answer sheets and laughed. He decided, for some reason, to say, very loudly, that my team's answer to the fifth Pokémon question was so far off, it's funny, saying 151 was correct, though no one had that. My friend knew I was right, and we talked about it with the guy after the quiz was over. I said I was right, showed proof.
He hits me with the old "No, there are only 151, anything after that isn't Pokémon", turns around, fucks back off to people who don't know how fucking dumb he is.
I spent the next hour or so with my friend talking about other shit, but I spot the guy again, talking to other normies, pointing at me, then laughing. I'd knocked back a few by then, so I asked him what his problem was. He switches almost immediately to "get out now or I'm calling the police"
I left, told my friend that I hated that douche, and he texts back
>I forgot how he was desu, I thought it was another [name]. Sorry, man.
I walked by the bar just before COVID happened, all closed down. Don't know how it happened, don't care. Fuck that guy.
