Is Magmortar worth having?

I'm playing pokemon black 2, should I catch Magby at the Virbank complex? I already caught a Magneton there.

Or should I get a Growlithe instead?

I should I not get a fire type?

Magmortar is pretty fun, it can learn Thunderbolt and Psychic. You should use it.

You can say that to shit like Geodude or Zubat, but this is one of the rare times you get to use Magmortar, or even Magmar, it was that rare for some reason.

I remember discovering the gts glitch way back in Platinum that let you evolve your trade evo pokemon with it, used it to evolve my shiny Onix without fear of it getting stolen or whatever
