What are the implication of these games outselling LGPE very soon? Keep in mind LGPE is seen as the definitive Kanto experience

I mean, in the last half a year Legends sold like 200k copies, which is solid for everything it doesn't have going for it. Way better than BDSP selling less that half of that over twice the amount of time while also having way more favorable circumstances, which in turn makes me question why the fuck OP is even including BDSP in the image.

Umm no, that would go to Gold/Silver. Its the definitive Kanto experience because you're not subjected to the progression of Red/Blue games. Nothing has to be happening there, Kanto just 'is' in Gold/Silver.

But LGPE already sold less compared to its originals than BDSP(or any non-FRLG remake did).

That Pokemon can only be good as long as it looks good l, its gen 1 that’s looking good. You have to keep in mind this was the first time boomers caught all the pokemon for the first time in their gaming career. A real shock to me when I heard this coming from a buddy.
