Pretty good games overall. I’ve never liked the standard trainer battle theme in Gen 5 though, I find it to be grating.

playing in Japanese day one was the greatest pokemon experience ever ever. I didn't understand shit and knew nothing of the monsters in the game. Figuring everything out on my own was magical and as a bonus, without the dialog getting in the way, I could come up with a way better plot in my head than GF ever could. The game moved at a brisk pace even with all the constant words words words.

When I finally got my English copy, I couldn't even finish it. The script. The story. All godawful and by then I was bored of the overly linear hamfisted campaign. so yeah, it's okay. but also kind of awful.

I liked them a lot
I went into it as blind as possible and it was fun trying to get a feel for what the new pokemon could do. Obviously some were pretty obvious and frankly used in a boring way (Unfezant and Gigalith not being special attackes was a waste) but for the most part it was fun building a brand new team.

Went to a midnight release with my girlfriend.
Was living together with her friend and her friend's BF.
All 4 of use spent almost all of our time off work playing "together".

Fun as fuck, loved it even more than I loved DP.
Xfered all my Gen 4 stuff to BW and farmed Subway for weeks.
