rock has been the worst type since gen 3. ice and bug are also up there
poison is the straight C-tier of types. no big draw, but also no big downside. it's blander than normal, the type that's supposed to be bland.

Logically poison should be super effective against way more types

I know this may shock a campaignshitter like yourself but there are 18 types in the game and having a 33% resist to ALL of them is usually better than having a 50% resist to a few.

Gen 1 fighting type is the worst.

It also lost a weakness to this same type and turned it into a resistance.
Poison is a good type. Only two weaknesses, a lot of resistances and access to hax, notably being able to use toxic with 100% accuracy

But please, tell me more about how it’s a great idea to Tera into Water and lose my Snow defense boost and lose all my other Tera options while my opponent has an Ogerpon Wellspring out on the field just because you looked at the type chart and saw that Water has more resistances than Ice.

Ice and Bug are absolute dogshit despite how cool some of their pokemon are. One simple fix to it is really:
>Ice is immune to Water
>Bug is either super-effective against Fairy, or Bug resists Fairy
And they have more use.

I'm pretty sure the only gen I pokemon that poison moves are super effective against are like eggxecute/eggxecutor and tangela because almost all of the gen 1 grass types are grass/poison
It's not that much better in 2 or 3 either

I think of poison as more of a defensive typing anyway
