Anyone have actually unique challenge run ideas? IDK how to put it but stuff like nuzlockes just seem kinda boring and against the point of the series
It isn't unique but ive thought of doing BST runs
Also Ive considered Alphabet runs, can only use mons if the last letter of one mon correlates to the first letter of anyother

BST runs sound interesting, I'm assuming it means you have to play Pokemon lower than a certain BST?
In a similar vein, maybe you could impose a limit on moves, like moves must be <=X base power (60-70?). Not sure how much of a challenge that actually makes it

both of those just sound like they'd make the game more of a nuisance
just play a difficulty hack so the game isn't balanced for babies

you can't get off on your own autism if you play a difficulty hack, since the challenge is external and not internal

Low BST runs are interesting as a rule, they are easy to implement across generatoins and can offset the power level of the better movepools offered in the newer games to an extent.

A did a variation of an egglocke (that was just an excuse to use some of my favorites)

I did Grass/Fairy for ORAS and it was difficult enough considering I also tended to leave half my team unevolved and Team Magma is known for fire types

Doing a Bruno run in Yellow, with all 5 Fighting types and an Onix. Gonna do a DP Flint and Volkner run in og DP, Flint in Diamond, Volkner in Pearl. Gonna add Skuntank as a 6th member for Flint (hot gas, learns Flamethrower when it evolves) and a Pachirisu and, most likely, Golem for Volkner (Pachirisu is the last remaining Electric type in DP and Golem because its Alolan form is Electric and I can't think of any thing else in DP's dex that's not Water or Normal type)
