>>54880315My favorite gen is gen 2 (and crystal, NOT HGSS), I love the atmosphere and theming of the game, the original soundtrack and pixel art of the old game, a lot of the mons are favorites, It felt like a real adventure and serious improvement to gen 1.
Honestly there is something to like about all the gens I feel, though the current gen is still the worst of the lot so far, the raids are shit and there is very little replayability after beating post-game (which is a given for pokemon games, but for something that touted its "open-worldness" its a fucking sham), raids are horribly bugged and awful (and the sad bit is that they are, mechanically, a dramatic improvement over SwSh raids, but that is brought down due to how incredibly buggy the game is overall and raids in particular)
The plot and character development is a disappointment. All in all gen 9 is a gen of "what could have been", and what we have is all the more disappointing for its apparent how good the game *could* have been, even moreso when compared to PLA which while again not the greatest game compared to other games of the time even on the switch is still leaps and bounds better than SV is, the catching mechanics in particular in PLA are something I very much enjoyed as someone that tries to catch every pokemon in a game before even thinking about touching HOME.
My biggest gripe with SV really is how horribly bugged it is though. During the 7 star eevee raid today, THREE TIMES I got the bug where the raid freezes and you how to force-shutdown SV and restart everything. It fucking sucks and there is no excuse for it, if it were not given to me as a gift I would have demanded a refund for how buggy it is. and before the shills start shitting themselves, reminder that Nintendo (and again, not gamefreak, not TPCi, but Nintendo who owns 1/3rd ownership over the pokemon brand) publicly apologized for the state of the game shortly after release while GF and TPCi said and did fuckall.
