>>54882561Comparing X/Y to Platinum, HGSS, and BW2 isn't fair because those games are updated re-releases expanding the previous iteration of the game with new content, and X/Y is an initial entry that previous installments lead us to believe would be updated later. It's a baseline game. Comparing it to R/S, G/S, DP, and BW, is pretty fair though. It has nothing to do with the fact it introduced a new Pokemon and a new region and those games didn't. Besides this, X/Y didn't really introduce many new Pokemon anyway, and most of Kalos is populated by Pokemon introduced elsewhere. It borrows from Unova for some of its architecture, uses an iconic Sinnoh monster in its story, reuses Viridian Forest's layout, reuses an iconic moment from the Kanto region's campaign, and reuses a puzzle from the Johto region's campaign as well. None of this bothers me, but to levy the word "rehash" against anything you're comparing X/Y to is misguided at best.
