As a Bulbachad I will say that Charizard getting bullied in the anime is undeserved

It wasn't a real Pokemon, just some assembly of magic mumbo jumbo, so there wasn't any real chance of victory against it. Didn't like this movie in general because it felt like the little girl got too much make believe BS reality warping out of nowhere to just steal someone's mom and beat whomever she wants.

You seem confused. It's not a weaker being pretending to be a Pokemon. It's magic do-whatever-you-want powers taking the shape of a Pokemon. It's like saying it's pathetic to lose to a genie's wish that dictated the Pokemon you were facing against would win so long as the owner wanted it to win. Makes for bad storytelling because people wouldn't entertain bothering to fight that in the first place.
