Why? They managed to separate and balance Ash and Dawn nicely in DP.

That could work in BW, depending on how would be Hilda's goal and not having Ash acting like he got brain damage after lose to Tobias.

Maybe if the writers could come up with a meaningful goal for Hilda, but all things considered she would probably have been relegated to the musical shit that was in the B/W games, and that would have been a huge disservice.

it would've been weird considering bw2 and rosa would come soon after. i guess they could've dropped off hilda in nimbasa to pursue musicals, then take in rosa the movie star? still seems kinda strange

The only reason the Ashime ignored her is because shes nonexistent in the story when the male character is picked(which doesn't apply to the other girl companions)
A cameo in some film would've been nice though
