Why won’t they give us modern remakes of the old games? Or just make a legacy game or something.

I want to get into Pokémon pvp but I’m not memorizing 500 soulless zoomer mons. We all know it’s been phoned in since 2002.

I'm a fan of Gen 1, but I wouldn't like a new remake. Since FRLG, Kanto is only used to appeal to the casual audience. That means their products are made with minimal effort on Game Freak's part. Even Capcom doesn't do the same with Street Fighter II.
Ironically we're never going to get a huge quality remake of one of the most important video games in history.

Who's trolling, this shit was dreadful when it came out. I was honestly wishing we could get a game like the manga, I ditched pokemon altogether because there were games with situations like the manga some even had monster side games.

You can play literally any generation on Showdown. Gen 3 competitive is super back right now with the ADV revival tournament. Gen 1 is basically solved like chess, and gen 2 is boring endless stall, but you can play those too if you like.
