maybe they should just tone down pokemon that are too good instead of homogenizing everything and making it impossible to guess what moves anything is going to have

Bruh, no one likes nerfs in a single-player game. There are far more bad Pokemon than there are good Pokemon, so no shit, they tend to get buffed more often than debuffed.
