>>54908986>Instead you can find the actual pokemon swimmingAnd in a good game you could also FISH. Y'know, cast a rod and have a mini-game pop up. Could be anything from simple angling for sillouhettes which triggers a QTE which leads into a battle to the Pokemon being visible and your lure being moveable to different Pokemon to try and entice them into biting for an encounter
>cant enter empty houses where 1 npc says im gay? wow 0/10Entering houses in settlements is a fucking staple of the RPG genre and is absolutely something you should be able to do. Also it kills the illusion of the open world when all of your buildings are soulless blocks of geometry, only there to sell the illusion of a building.
>Filled with trainers, pokemon, items, outbreaks, raids, wild tera mons. How exactly is it empty? And where are the side quests? Bonus areas that actually have something fun to see? Actually fun shit?
An open world needs to have actual THINGS in it anon, not just more battles, it's the blessing and the curse of the genre.
BotW worked because you had a ton of shrines to do, versatile gameplay systems that allowed you to do all sorts of fun and whacky shit in-game that made general traversal fun (while also not locking your means of traversal like SV do once you clear the tutorial area), the occasional mini-boss and cool things to interact with like the Dragons, Great Fairies and occasional location based quest.
You can't do anything in Paldea's world besides battle, pick shit up off the floor and buggy ass battles with 3 idiots against a damage sponge.
I should be able to do cool things while traversing with the Raidons, uncover new areas by destroying geometry or exploiting gusts of wind (since they can't generate their own lift for some reason) to soar to great heights and reach new, interesting areas. Once you've cleared the main story, all you can do is grind for online shit or shinies, that's not fun, anon. It makes Paldea feel empty.
