The actual reason for the dexcut (rebalancing the VGC meta), which in retrospect, makes perfect sense, and most people would’ve accepted it with that line of logic. Why did they make up some blatant lie about “not being able to port the models”, which was immediately disproven when the models all had the exact same vertices and animations as they did in previous games? People inherently don’t like being lied to, so of COURSE it’s gonna cause controversy, when the lie is so bad that people immediately disbelieve it.

Why didn’t they just admit the real, sensible answer instead?
