There are 3 shorts confirmed at the end of the next 3 episodes, so aside from what is going on in the episode itself, additional trivia seems to be featured on the way of the final DLC, where the 3rd would come out one day later. They timed it and it seems that they will advance the Terapagos part faster than usual now that they can utilize the 2nd wave material from the games more freely.

I wonder how long it'll be able to maintain it. The marketing has heavily pushed the tiny form so I doubt it's permanent. It's also worth noting that Lucius only saw the terastal form. I wonder how important it is that Terapagos has only revealed itself and the tiny form to Liko.

I'm probably not the only one that thought of this but I was taking a massive shit, like MASSIVE, like my ass hurts massive. It might have been the size of my forearm. I didn't get to shit for two days so... anyway, as I was stuck on the toilet I thought, no way these two stay the protagonists next season because of their starters... but the rest of the volteccers on the other hand.. what if they are permanent and the protags just swap around as new crew on the asagi? Kinda makes sense.

Why do people want Volteccers to stay beyond PM2023? It's a full choke of adults which doesn't make sense for a Series made for kids.

I'd only be somewhat down for it if the number of adults is restricted, plus they change their focus away from plot, although I'm still skeptical that Volteccers will stay.

Does anyone else feel like Liko and Roy are complete bums? They don't battle, they are slow to act, and it seems like their first instinct is to wait for an adult to help them. I hate this shit! Pokemon should be about kids on the road. They should be relying on their Pokémon, not a large assortment of adults. Kids who watch this shit are gonna be such pansies.

As characters, I feel like Liko and Roy could be so much better than Ash, but as things are now, they're worse. They don't have enough scenes with their Pokémon and they spend more time pondering legends and myths than enjoying the whimsical world they already inhabit.

You know, I really like Captain Pikachu as a character. He almost feels like the main character of the story as this unbeatable, almost "chosen one" figure. Kinda reminds me of Zero in Mega Man X. This new Horizons poster right here feels kind of bland & meh to me, as if TPC & OLM have cut costs for this Series. This new poster doesn't seem to generate any hype in my opinion, it felt like something ripped off of those late night anime plots in a lazy effort.

The Ashnime era posters in comparison keeps people hyped in general, despite the end results not always being satisfactory.

Now I don't hate Horizons but I do have my fair share of problems with it myself. I don't think it's terrible but it could be a lot better.

First thing is Liko and Roy, They're alright, Yeah Roy is basically your average happy kid and Liko is basically Koharu 2.0 except main character but they work well enough. I wish they would let them get out of trouble themselves? The old man was a perfect test for the duo to handle the problem but Captain Pikachu had to help them out again.

Speaking of which, Captain Pikachu and Friede. Friede was alright at first but now he is honestly getting a bit annoying. The man literally spawns the moment the kids are in danger, granted no shit I understand he's supposed to look after them but it got old real quick. Hell Orla could've handled it in her episode but Friede had to save the day there too.

Now for the Pokemon, I do enjoy the captures but I really don't want a rerun of what Journeys was doing where we barely see some of these guys. For example Wattrel happens to be my favorite out of the entire group and these writers barely have Roy bring it out. I don't hate Croc though however I do think it deserves one win under it's belt before it even thinks about evolving. Sprigs and Hatenna well... Sprigs is a cat and Hatenna is a baby so not much to say there..

I think the main criticism I have so far is the story. I'm just not feeling it. It also doesn't help that Roy's Pokeball should've been his thing but no it somehow got stringed to Liko's ancestor because.. why the fuck not I guess, it's not like Liko needs even more reasons to be important for PLOT.

The Explorers? Yeah they're more competent but less fun, At least most cared for Jessie and James, Lucius and his team? cool I guess but what happens when they find all the Pokemon? What exactly happens to Rayquaza? does Roy get Kieran'd because Liko is the chosen one apparently?

Just a lot of strange and awkward writing decisions desu

I was looking primarily looking forward to some kind of conflict between Liko & Sprigatito as I perceived their relationship to not be as cohesive as Roy & Fuecoco's, especially in terms of personalities and goals as while Fuecoco and Roy are basically on the same page on practically everything, there are established differences between Sprigatito and Liko that presents problems in the relation, such as Liko's lack of drive to get stronger as opposed to Sprigatito, who has shown desire to become more powerful.

I also think both Fuecoco and Sprigatito should be impressionable by the things around them, mold their character by their experiences however that may come. Of course I have ideas on how the writers could go about these things, but that something else altogether.

I'm just hoping that they're more involved in the plot before they evolve.

Forms he worked to attain and had matching triggers to reach them. The deaths of his friends, the destruction of the world or threat of, etc. This is quite unlike Ash, who simply wanted to become world champion one day and had asspulls handed to him to accomplish that.

How do pokemon typically evolve in the anime? We all know it's in high-stress situations(losing a battle they really want to win).
How did Goku 'evolve' into a super saiyan for the first time? A high-stress situation(A ruthless psychopath killed Goku's closest friend who he's known almost all his life and laughed about it).

The Ashime just does it worse than everyone else. It's bland, uninteresting, and generic compared to everyone else. Even YGO and Digimon knew how to make things compelling. No wonder Ash flopped.

Since HZ is doing so much better than the Ashime so far, I wonder if they plan to evolve Sprigatito in a desperate situation. It'd be funny if Liko evolved her starter before Ash, lol. 26 year headstart and he still lost

Nope, he needed to break their mecha which is a bigger challenge than anything The Explorer has done. Also some evolution required Ash to use actual item instead of Asspull such as his Gliger evolution.
