Which dragon makes more sense for N to use canonically? Given his ideals and personality.

I think design wise, Reshiram definitely fits him better. They even use Reshi with him in the advertisements.
However, from the perspective of what each dragon- it seems wrong for him to have the dragon of "truth" when his entire life is built on lies. Built on this ideal that pokemon need to be separated, with the crux of the game having you shatter that ideal of his. Your truth breaks his ideals. It makes much more sense story wise at least.
However Zekrom looks so ugly with him so it's hard to say.

Yes an argument can be made for the player character to also embody ideals, but N being under the Truth side makes no sense.

No it doesn't retards. The entire point of the truth v ideals slop was that it was all made up garbage in the first place. The autism dragons separated because the autistic brothers argued about the same thing and pretended like they were 2 different things.

Idk man. I found the whole story in BW exhausting. It's not bad, but it's longwinded.
Also, the BW story would make way more sense in Kalos or Galar. Unova should have have gone full retard American.

"Truth vs ideals" is a really stupid duality and conflict. You can shatter someone's ideals with the truth, but not vice-versa. You can't opinion your way out of a fact.

BW only makes a point that the argument never mattered at the end of the game. However, it appears that the illiterate fanbase has issues with literacy.
N represents neither. He just thinks he is. The dragons could've awakened for any reason hence why N could give it to a literal who 2 years later.

Answered your own question. Zekrom is the dragon that sided with the prince that sought ideals. Reshiram sided with the prince that sought truth. N seeks to change the world to his ideal world. You seek to show N the truth: that he's being manipulated and lied to by Ghetsis. Zekrom is 100% dragon for N, and Reshiram is 100% the dragon for you.

White/Reshiram is pretty clearly the intention IMO. Most version differences on the map make more sense there, Reshiram fits visually, and the story works. N thinks he is catching Reshiram so that it will show people the "truth" of pokemon battling being a bad thing for the world. He fails because he has been fed lies, while the player is fighting for their ideal of pokemon and humans working together.

N chases an ideal, but finds truth is something else. N believes in his truth, but realizes it was just an ideal.
The theme of the dragons is vague and overlarping as fuck on purpose you literal inbreeds, so no matter what game you pick, it makes sense for N to have a change of heart at the end of the game when he has his dragon, be this dragon the one he sees as embodiment of his objective truth, or the one he sees as the help needed to make his ideals real.
