The only way for gen 9 and subsequent generations to have an undisputed leg up over gen 8 at Gamefreak's current level of competency is for them to undo the dexcut. Ergo the dexcut will end next year.

scarlet/violet is already the best game in the series, gameplay-wise and story-wise
no handholding for hours, most compelling storytelling, most fun set of features, interesting character interactions, and great dlcs
i am playing on pc with celshade mod only because of the odd choice of artstyle, but i would have grabbed sv day one if the artstyle was celshaded plus outlined look
