I literally finished my Casey Run of Pokemon Crystal yesterday. It came down to Raikou versus Charizard and Blastoise but Beedrill put in work in the early game.

It's funny, even back then I already felt that Misty and Brock were unnecessary and they should let Ash continue his journey alone and he become an occasional character like Gary, while the series should focus on new trainers.
