Utsunomiya confirmed they're going to make these as long as possible, Game Freak confirmed they're going to remake games that were already remade. The only canon will be "shit happened in X region" because megas are dead, yet LGPE had megas, Legends had styles yet styles are dead and BDSP wwas a 1:1 port. The paired games are the only canon to the prime timeline, because ORAS tells an entirely different origin story to Megas which XY remakes will not bother telling, because it'll be a repeat of XY's story and plot.
And BF didn't exist in the original pair either, strange it didn't in the remakes.
