Someone brought up an interesting point, in that they Cursola wouldve been an excellent future paradox pokemon.
Just go for a hyper polluted future, like a Shifty adapted for a Savhanna or a gunked up PIdgeot (or if that's too dark for pokemon, just go for massive environmental changes, like even a Pine Cacturn).
That way, we can still have future designs, but its not just all robots.

I don't think the idea of Pokemon turning into robots or looking metallic is actually too out there with all the actual steel pokemon running around, my personal issue with the future paradox mons is that they already look out of date by today's standards with really rigid looking doll joints and LED eyes. iron jugulus specifically looks like its a chuck e cheese animatronic

we already have man made pokemon that look almost indistinguishable from natural pokemon, so natural pokemon all collectively evolving into something that looks worse than what humans can make in modern day is just weird no matter what, it's like everything evolving into Porygon

The problem is that those aren't concepts closely tied with the future, just a change in environment and in the case of Pidgeot it just doesn't make any kind of sense since it would just be dead.
Sure you can say Cursola fits but you have to remember that coral bleaching is a thing that happens in the modern day.

That's the problem with the concept of future.

it should be glaringly obvious paradoxes based on “anicent” and “future” are comically naive on purpose. if I made a time machine and it spat out a seagull but unga-bunga, I can point out that’s not right and the distant ancestor of a seagull should be very different

Except you can't, in fact once you verify it as an ancestor genetically you have to accept it as fact against your own opinion. I mean, you're basically saying that because you can't conceive of it then it has to be wrong which goes against all logic.
