Tintkaton is a common hazard setter and can spam, knock off, thunder wave, taunt and encore or even set screens and has the burst option of gigaton hammer. I think theres worse fates than being meta in ru and useable in UU

Mawile is not good but Mega Mawile practically ran ou for a while

the type combo isn't bad it's just they're both on the weaker side. It's one of 4 type combos with more than 10 resistances/immunities. The others being Steel combined with Water, Electric, or Ghost

And mawile was already fixed, but gamefreak decided to keep making meme gimmicks and ditch the only good one they made

There's nothing wrong with the type combination by itself, in fact it's a really good combo. It's just that moth Tinkaton and Mawile have underwhelming stats that means even a good typing isn't enough to make them good.

Will Mawile ever be good again since it can't have its Mega? Like the only shot I can see is a normal evolution but I don't know if they'll want to give a normal evo to a mon they've previously given a mega.
