I haven't played SV or any Switch games, haven't actually played the real game since Gen VI. What's the dexcut issue, some Pokemon aren't even accessible in SV and you can't use whatever the new Pokebank is? Doesn't the Switch have a decent amount of power and downloads games like a PC? Why can't you transfer up?

They gave a bunch of bullshit excuses so we could only spectaculate the real reason. The end result is that not every Pokémon is programmed into every game any more so you can't import yanmega into SWSH because Yanmega's data isn't in sword and shield. SwSh had Entei but SV does not.

Who cares about dexcut.
There were too many Pokémon anyways.
At least half of them are forgettable and should never come back imo.
Gen 5, Gen 7, Especially Gen 8 & 9 had forgettable bad designs.

Reminder that Dexcut is the only way to save this franchise.
Expecting quality for over 1000 monsters at this point is simply not going to happen. The only realistic way to have good games again is if that number is culled, and by quite a lot.

I didn't even know this Pokémon existed until I checked a national dex site to prove my point.
Nu Pokémon are forgettable and should be purged before the series ends up as confusing as Digimon.

I don't understand the people in here proposing cutting other Pokemon. It's 2023, there is no technical reason they would have to cut them. I can assume there may be a technical challenge around 1024 Pokemon for obvious reasons but by that time they'll just write a new engine or update that part of the code.
