>>54930691>So even though Megas were limited to only a select few Pokemon I'd argue it's one of the least broken gimmicks overall.Megas are by far the least broken gimmick because they don't completely overturn the game basic rules over their head like all other three do. They're just a generic power-up, a buff, more BST, more stats, maybe a new ability, and that's it. You could go and remake every Mega into a new Pokemon and literally nothing would change.
>B-But they're broken with +600 BST and that breaks the game! And yet Mega haters always whine about how 3/4 of the Megas are shitmons and only a few are REALLY broken. Curious!
You know what broke the game without needing megas? SV and it's army of min maxed pokemon with fanfic-tier 10-in-one abilities and special snowflake moves.
Almost like it's not megas that are broken but broken Pokemon being broken as a whole.
Megas were absolutely perfect from every stand point. Super Saiyan form to make your Pokemon cooler and stronger, power-up by power of friendship, what Pokemon will get mega next hype factor, brand new designs to shit out new merchandise with.
Dropping megas instead of continuing to develop and expand them is one of the most baffling choices if not the most baffling choice in the history of the franchise.
