2nd: The whole point of Dexit+Home is to prevent what happened in Gens3-7 where people would just migrate all their Pokemon onto 1 physical cart of the most recent generation. They can't charge you money for having all your mons on a cart. So they made dexit so you couldn't just park your collection on your copy of Violet for instance,
Dexit is never going away and it's not because they're lazy, it's because they're greedy. That's also why Home won't be permanent either. There going to keep making new Bank/Home clones to replace the last one every 3 generations or so to introduce "breaks" to prevent people from having easy access to old Pokemon (especially Legendaries) outside of DLC's
